..Degree Program Tuitions

A user friendly IGE tuition fee and payment plan opportunity for people in the IGE Degree Preparation program

Degree Totals before scholarship, grant and work study contributions reduce them:

Master of Science (MS): 36 credits, approximately $6,500-$7,000

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) 48 credits, approximately $8,500-$9,000

Certification: Three Levels, 36 credits, $2320 includes application fee. Grants only. No scholarship program available.

The fees, above, include all the extra costs listed at the transfer eligible university website. They vary with each student depending upon the amount of transfer credit, equivalency evaluation and life experience the student brings in or other services they require.

To keep costs, tuition, transfer and competency fees and red tape minimal, IGE, with trust in you, asks you to honestly determine and state on your application the most you can practically afford to attain a degree. This simplifies the process. If necessary, you then may then request scholarship funding, to cover the remaining tuition cost.

Once your contribution to the total tuition is determined and you are accepted to the program, when possible, scholarship funding is allocated to cover the remainder of the total tuition.

An account is established to which you make single, twice yearly, pre-semester/certificate level, payments of no less than $740 each toward the tuition not covered by scholarship funds. Payment for the first semester/certificat level is $740, or more if you choose. You may also petition for a payment plan you can maintain.

See the Application Form for additional options

You continue to pay $740 per semester/certificate level (twice yearly) until your contribution towards the total tuition is paid in full. You may work out a payment plan for these latter semester tuition payments. This cooperatively reduces the administrative costs . You may optionally pay your portion of the whole tuition in one payment upon entering the program. You may also petition to make other payment arrangements.

If you decide not to complete your Degree Program, IGE will refund you a minimum of$1200.00 from tuition fees you pay above the first $2320 paid (This figure does not include the scholarships that may have been paid on your behalf.) You may also transfer into the Certificate program.

Through this method, whenever possible, we help you meet the IGE goal to have you graduate with the ability to offer Organic Psychology skills along with no debt or loans to pay back. This relieves the otherwise common stress of entering questionable work situations in order to pay debts rather than to apply your Organic Psychology skills where they will do the most good. It allows you to enter professional relationships many other graduates can not afford to enter. Some programs similar to IGE run $40,000 for the Masters.

Your portion of the total tuition is due before you are eligible to take your written competency exam and complete your degree program.

Other arrangements may be made only by special contract with IGE and may involve additional fees to cover administrative cost.

TUITION, PARTICIPATION AND REFUND SYNOPSIS:

Orientation Option: Take the Orientation Course ECO 500 by itself to learn the basic organic psychology skills of the Natural Systems Thinking Process. The course costs as much as $90.00 (1/1/2004) with its optional but recommended two books Web of Life Imperative and Reconnecting With Nature. If and when you choose to procede with the remainder of the courses, a $100 application fee is required and each individual course has a tuition fee of $80/credit. You may, however, enter the Certification or Degree Program and apply to the Orientation Course as a packaged part of that application.

Certification or Degree Program Option: To apply and commit to the certification and/or degree program gives you the advantage of reducing your program costs and obtaining degree scholarship funding by taking each of three levels of certification as a 12 credit certification package.

Level One Certification ($740) includes the Application Fee and all the courses in Level One (whose tuition, if they were taken individually, would be $1,060 including the application fee.)

An immediate-start tuition, $150, is available for students who want to immediately begin the Certification or Degree program but need some leeway time to obtain and send their tuition funds. The immediate-start tuition includes the Application Fee, the Orientation Course and its two books. Payment is then arranged for the remaining $490 of First Level Certification. NOTE: The Application Fee becomes due again if the Cooperative Contract and Level One tuition payment(s) are not consumated by Part Six of the Orientation Course.

Refunds: Refunds are not given for courses that a student starts but does not complete. Students who apply for the Certification or Degree Program package are automatically enrolled in two one-credit courses, ECO 500 and ECO 751A and receive the books they need for the former. A maximum refund for withdrawing from the Certification program excludes refunds for the books, the application fee and the two one-credit courses individually ($80/credit) plus a $20.00 administrative fee ($330 total withheld).

If you decide not to complete your Degree Program, IGE will refund you a minimum of $1200.00 from tuition fees you pay above the first $2320 paid (This figure does not include the scholarships that may have been paid on your behalf.)

Some programs similar to IGE run $40,000 for the Master's Degree.
