WEBSTRING SELF-DISCOVERY

 A. The Experience

This is a two-part reconnecting activity that you can do to help your new brain discover and validate your connections with the web of life within and around you.

PART 1:
Go to an attractive plant, animal, mineral or place in a natural area. Try not to impose on it. Thankfully ask for its permission to become involved with it. Gain its consent to help you with this activity.

Do the following activity once you are sure the natural thing you selected continues to give you some sort of comfortable, attractive good feeling. Be sure that you like this natural attraction.

Write down what thing or webstring in this area you like and why. Make this as simple as "I like (or love) this (plant, animal, mineral, place, thing, sensation) (1) ___________ "

I like (or love) it because (2)___________________(Complete this sentence fully. State why you like (or love) the natural attraction you choose and enter that reason in (1). Notice that you have produced a webstring connected statement.

Copy the "because (2)" statement you wrote above and be ready to paste it elsewhere, or have a written copy of it readily available

PART 2

Be sure you have completed Part 1.
Note: This activity will not be helpful if what you liked in nature is a "hurtful" aspect of nature rather than a comfortable one. ("Discomforting" aspects of nature are usually signals to immediately seek more comfortable attractions in nature. See Chapter 13 RWN)
