Background:
We are all part of nature.
However, our indoor-centered lives often isolate us, and
we lose touch with our inherent nature-based attributes
that would ordinarily inform and balance our thinking and our
relationships. New, sensory nature-reconnecting tools help us
restore our lost natural attributes, improve our well being,
increase our sense of personal meaning and strengthen our professional
effectiveness.
Rationale:
To be effective, the processes
of consensus and cooperation must include all parties concerned
in a decision For example, a group of terrorists, by consensus,
could decide to burn a monastery and they could cooperate
with each other to achieve this destructive goal. They would
not, however, burn it if they included seeking consent from the
monastery and its members in their decision making process. Consensus
would force them to learn from the monastery of its value and
thereby improve their decision. Similarly, the SP/PNC consensus
process gives us the ability to include the voice of nature,
our often hidden love of nature, in consensus decisions. Including
that voice brings the wise. balancing and restorative powers
of natural systems within and around us into our relationships.
This helps us produce greater unity because nature may be the
only biological and spiritual force that all people inherit and
hold in common.
Nature's Grace:
If you have ever had a good
experience in nature, even just a short refreshing walk, you
are no doubt aware of nature's recuperative powers and their
ability to enhance unity awareness and peace. The combined SP
and PNC program helps people learn how to apply these powers
of nature to increase health, consensus and cooperation on personal,
environmental and international levels. Additional benefits of
