This website helps students and others master the Natural Systems Thinking Process (NSTP) and enjoy the profound inner peace job, career and degree rewards from making conscious sensory contacts with Nature at work, home or school.

The Natural Systems Thinking Process is for individuals who appreciate what many studies confirm: because humanity is part of nature, people work, relate, perform, feel and heal
better when genuinely connected to attractions in Nature.

NSTP is for individuals who love the ocean, forest or clouds; the wind, hills and stars. It is for individuals who appreciate others that love nature and our planet home.

NSTP helps people of any age who

  • have had at least one good experience in nature: at the beach, on a mountain, with a flower or pet.
  • recognize that their nature experiences enriched their life.
  • would not want to give up their good experiences in natural settings and would enjoy having them again.
  • want to help people benefit from nature connected thinking, feeling, and relating

Research affirms that most things go better with Nature. Studies also show that, backyard or back country, the process of genuinely connecting our psyche to natural systems helps people more successfully meet their goals while giving Nature added value and protection.
For this reason:

  • parents, students and instructors learn and teach NSTP.
  • counselors, healers and leaders incorporate NSTP their work.
  • NSTP courses are accredited and are offered as part of several university degree programs
  • NSTP helps any caring person heal themselves, others and the environment.
  • NSTP helps resolve conflict on personal and international levels.
  • articles validating NSTP are reviewed and published in professional publications.
  • NSTP empowers individuals to promote peace, sustainability and social justice.

NSTP works, simply because Nature is an intelligent perfection of its own that we inherit as part of Nature. However, our excessively nature-separated lives unplug us from sensory contact with natural systems. Disconnected, nature's eons lie hurt and buried within us, unavailable to our thinking and relationships. NSTP enables us to help that perfection recover and participate in our lives to our benefit.

The healing power of NSTP dramatically helps people solve many problems, including some they thought they might never solve. It makes readily available an authentic source of "higher power."

"The Natural Systems Thinking Process provides a readily accessible ....and.wonderfully effective means for students to acquire, understand, and act upon the transforming experience of being connected to nature; of being in respectful relationship with the natural world of which they are a part."

J.Marc McGinnes, J.D.
Senate Lecturer
University of California at Santa Barbara
Environmental Studies

"We dramatically increased our program's effectiveness by adding the Natural Systems Thinking Process to it. It enables our participants to connect with their sensory origins in nature and use that peaceful power to improve their relationships with self, society and the environment."

James Rowe,
Director
Outward Bound School, Costa Rica

An anonymous field report from a nature-connection peace student in our finding higher power program:

"Yesterday as I walked with my girlfriend on our daily walk, we took a detour from our regular route and came  across a residential yet very wooded area. I had been completely stressed out the last week, being up late at ungodly hours, hurting my body, my inner self in the process.

I had started to relax as we had started on our walk. The sun was out, the wind had died down to a whisper but enough for the trees to perform their swaying dance.

At this wooded area, we came across a number of birds, pausing for a moment to admire each one. Then all of a sudden my heart skipped a beat...there was this little fella flapping his wings furiously, almost mistakable for a big bumble bee.

Turned out, I was looking for the first time at a humming bird. I as transfixed by it. It flapped its wings furiously as it probably picked off insects on the leaves of the trees. Then it would perch on the very top of the tree, pause there for a few moments and fly over to the tree on the other side of the street and promptly perched itself on te top of that tree.

We both stood there silently watching the humming bird hop around from one side of the street to the other. I suddenly felt unburdened. I felt warmth, an attraction growing ever stronger. All because of a single little bird. I didn't plan on feeling that way, the little bird had attracted me, bonded a connection with me, without my new brain sensing or have time to process it. The old brain had involuntarily taken over. I felt ecstatic. I even found myself straining my ear to try and listen to the bird's wings flapping. Eventually the bird flew away and I thanked it for elevating my sense ad mood. I thanked the trees that had been as much responsible for me to be able to witness the humming bird as the bird itself was.

I discovered that no matter how down in the dumps I feel, the smallest of things in nature has the power to elevate my senses and disposition and natural connections are random and unpredictable, but are always welcome and uplifting. I don't have to search for a natural attraction. it finds me, cause it is in me."
