Nature Connection Web Page Enables People to Respond to Key Life Relationship Questions.

Client: "My problem is that I always talk to myself."
Counselor: "Not to worry; most people talk to themselves."
Client: "But Doctor, you don't know what a ding dong I am."

"When you learn to live in an irresponsible society, where then can you find a reliable source of information?" That is the thrust of a new web page designed by Dr. Michael J. Cohen, Director of Ecopsychology at the Institute of Global Education, a special NGO consultant to the United Nations Economic and Social Council. There Cohen serves as faculty to three online Universities.

Cohen's new web site (http://www.ecopsych.com/fact.html) provides links to free knowledge and processes on the web that help make responsible life relationship information readily available.

Visitors to Cohen's site learn to trust the information they find there because, unlike hearsay, they experience it first hand by making genuine sensory contacts with intact life systems, backyard or backcountry. Improved wellness and personal and environmental relationships result from this connection.

On the web site Cohen lists the eleven most pressing problems we face. He says, "Although we learn not to use it, we inherit the natural ability to respond to these often unsolvable disorders." Cohen finds our biggest problem to be that we blind ourselves to our inherent problem solving ability. He says, "Many of our troubles stay put simply because we are taught to ignore a vital source of information in Nature that enables us to resolve them."

When questioned, Cohen admitted that most people are skeptical about his new web page. He responded, "That's to be expected. However, significantly, page visitors discover that their doubts about it are not based on reliable information."

Some life relationship issues that the web site identifies include:

ENVIRONMENT: Since we are part of Nature, what is the major difference that makes us destroy the environment while everything else in Nature enhances it?

SUSTAINABILITY: Can you cite a contemporary human model, community or process that enjoys sustainability?

ACCURATE INFORMATION: What is the greatest truth that you can trust (hint: it is neither God, love, or honesty.)

PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDERS: What produces the wanting void in our psyche, the discomfort, greed, and loneliness that fuel most personal, social and environmental disorders?

SPIRITUALITY: What is the relationship between Nature, the Divine, and the Human Spirit?

EDUCATION: Since we learn how to build our relationships, what factor in modern education teaches us to produce our lasting problems?

RECOVERY: What vital source of healing energy or Higher Power does our cultural bias omit and thereby produce our dependencies upon hurtful chemicals and people, and on our healing programs, too?

STRESS: What is the difference between a thought and a feeling?

WAR: Why do we continue to assault nature and people when it doesn't make sense and we neither like doing it nor its hurtful effects?

INTELLIGENCE: How can we restore to our thinking the missing 48 sensory intelligences that contemporary society has psychologically buried in us?
